Milan Fashion week established in 1979 was on the rise to becoming the worlds “fashion capital of the world”. Today, Milan is recognized internationally as one of the world’s most important fashion capitals. Milan really started catching a lot of attention during the late 19th century, when they became a major production centre of silk, Milan fashion then took a turn as it started to becoming inspired by Parisian couture designs. Later in the 20th century, Milan became a fashion centre for millions of people. The spike in designers and fashion figures in the industry, really helped improve Milan’s image as a fashion capital.
